What A Weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Last weekend was a long one. I had so much to cram into my weekend. I had stuff that I wanted to do and the stuff that my family needed help doing. This was also the last weekend that I got to see my brother before he went off to basic for about twenty weeks :(. On Friday night I got to see my best friend Lexie which was really nice because I had a load of stuff to talk about. We hung out until about one in the morning which put me at home about one-thirty which most likely was not good because I got up really late to do my chores. Like an hour and half late. But it was so good to see Lexie seeming we are both in college and are in two different states. Saturday was a fun filled day. In the morning after getting out of bed, i did my chores, LOVE MY GOATS!!!!!, and then we worked on fixing up the pig pen. As always my war with chicken wire still stands. I can never work with it without getting cut from it :(. After the pig pen was fixed up, We went to our neighbors for some great conversation, hot coffee and donuts. :) This was set up for my brother because they wanted to see him before he left for basic. While the grownups all sat and talked us younger adults, Mike, Allan and I, had fun talking about various things that were going on. We hadn't talked like that in years and it was nice to catch up. The chocolate donuts were the best as always! We were there for about two hours. When we got home it was time to move the pigs into their new pen. We had to move them to the new pen because it just makes it easier for everyone on butcher day. Little less stress to because Pat will now not have to walk through the mud to feed them. I can remember last years butcher day very well as it was a wild one. We were trying to move them to where they are now and it was not working. We had Terry, Ryan, Travis (boys with muscle) Pat and I trying to move them and it only half worked. We got one moved but of course the second one would not go anywhere. Who ever came up with the second is the best, was lying. But the end result of last year was that one had to be shot in the mud, not fun at all, and the other was killed on the dry ground. Now this year they are moved a head of time and we don't have to worry about it. This year it was surprisingly easy to move them. It only took us a half hour. After we were done moving them, I got to go up to Torsey farm. I went to be there for chores, but ended up hanging in the garage with the Terry working on the dog truck. Well I mostly watch and learn. I did go into the barn to see my favorite girl Dot. The best cow ever born. i didn't stay in the barn as am sure Travis was all set and happily signing away. Kind of scary when you are in the front driveway and can hear someone signing through the noise of the milk machine and manure conveyor thing. For the rest of the time I spent it in the garage. The new thing that I was taught was how to read a tap measure. Still a little fuzzy on it but still learning. After a couple of hours of hanging out, I went down to feed my goats and have dinner with my family. It was my brother's birthday and he requested bacon and Waffles. So delicious!!!!! After which we celebrated his birthday with gifts and on his request as well, apple crisp. Sunday was a long day too. Because I wasn't on the farm much on Saturday, I hung out on Sunday. I first went on a fun ride down to Dunkin Donuts with Emma and Terry. Emma being the cutie that she has always been and always will be, had a fascination with seeing what was in my vest pocket. Even though she couldn't find anything, she insisted that maybe in a couple of minutes there would be and proceeded to check. When we got back, we dropped Emma off at the house with momma W and then went up to the farm in hope to finish the work on the truck. Little Bird III came out to say hi to me and loved just being held and patted. it was freezing cold out and lucky for Terry he had a few welding things to do, so I was the only one frozen for 100% of the time. HAHAHA. I stayed there until two-thirty then had to go home to do a few things and leave to go back to school. It was hard to say goodbye to my brother as I will not see him now until Christmas which seems like a life time away. But he has my mailing address and I will be getting his from my parents very soon. But overall it was a very fun weekend of both hanging out at home working on my own farm and hanging out on the Torsey farm as well.
